Description

Mary was at sea on the feast of St James in 1618, when she invoked this holy Apostle as her particular patron in order to quell a dangerous mutiny that had broken out on board. To the amazement of all, calm was restored and Mary afterward declared that she had never sought any favour from God through the intercession of this great prince of heaven without it being granted her.
